In an interview with Hindustan Times before joining the show, Rajeev spoke about his chemistry with Shamita Shetty and shared that he can cry seeing her inside the house.
The former model said, “I have known them Shamita and Shilpa Shetty for 10-12 years. I met Shilpa, Shamita, and Mausi (their mother Sunanda Shetty). We are connected spiritually. Can’t believe it if you have heard of her. Have noticed but Shamita is a very spiritual person. My relationship with her started on a spiritual level. We are all God-fearing and we have nurtured a bond that has flourished since then. I love her immensely Am.”
Rajeev Adatia also said that Shamita would be excited to see him, adding that he might break down when he meets her. “She would be excited, she wouldn’t know what to do. She was begging me to join the show and I was like ‘Because of Covid-19, I won’t come. But you go and enjoy Now she’s going to be shocked. I can start crying, I haven’t seen her in two years. I don’t respect the violence that is happening in a show like Bigg Boss. Forget slam-dunking if someone touches me, even if someone touches me, I won’t have it. I have come with a contract that says no one can touch me! What contract did I sign then? I have some respect in life, I didn’t come to the show to insult or throw it around or anything. “
He also spoke about the ongoing controversies regarding Karan Kundrra and Prateek Sahajpal. “I will definitely take a stand and not take it lying down,” he said. He further added, “Pratik Sahajpal forgot it within an hour. I don’t know why people are taking it. There should be strict rules for any kind of violence.
